            Quick Summary: Sentry temporarily stores minimal data (Server IDs, User IDs, warning counts, 
            and feature statuses). Data is automatically deleted when a user is kicked or the bot leaves a server. You 
            can request manual deletion at any time.
        

By inviting and using Sentry on your Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please remove the bot from your server.

1. Description of Service

Sentry is an anti-phishing bot for Discord. It detects and blocks known phishing links in real time. The bot scans messages, deletes malicious links, tracks warnings for users who repeatedly post them, and logs moderation actions. Sentry is not a general moderation bot. It focuses on phishing link detection and Discord invite blocking (when enabled).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sentry, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service. Server owners are responsible for ensuring their members comply with Discord's age requirements.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Sentry only for its intended purpose: detecting and blocking phishing links on Discord. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or bypass Sentry's detection systems.

4. Permissions

Sentry requests the following permissions to function properly:

Embed Links - To send warning messages and stats in an easy to read format.
Kick Members - To automatically kick users after three phishing warnings.
Manage Messages - To delete messages that contain phishing links or Discord invites.
Read Message History - To scan message content for phishing links.
Send Messages - To send responses, warnings, and logs to channels.
Use Slash Commands - To provide an easy command interface for users and admins.
View Channels - To see channels where messages need to be scanned for phishing links.

These permissions are used only for phishing link detection and the warning system. No unnecessary permissions are requested.

5. Data Storage

Sentry temporarily stores the following data in a local SQLite database:

Server IDs - To identify which server settings belong to which server.
User IDs - To track warning counts for specific users.
Warning Counts - Number of warnings a user has received (0-3).
Feature Statuses - Whether Discord invite blocking is enabled per server.
Log Channel Settings - Which channel receives moderation logs (if configured).

All data is stored temporarily and automatically deleted as described below. No data is ever shared with third parties.

6. Data Deletion

Sentry automatically deletes data in the following situations:

User Kicked: When a user is kicked from your server (either automatically after 3 warnings or manually by an admin), all their warning data is immediately deleted from the database.
Bot Removed: When Sentry is removed from your server, ALL data associated with that server is permanently deleted, including warnings, log channel settings, and feature configurations.

You can also request manual data deletion by contacting us through our support server. We will remove any stored data related to your server or user ID within 48 hours of a verified request.

7. Warning System

Sentry uses a three-strike system for violations. Users who post a known phishing link or Discord invite (if enabled) receive a warning. After three warnings, they are automatically kicked from the server. Admins can manually reset warnings using /sentry resetwarnings.

8. No Guarantee of Accuracy

Sentry maintains a database of known phishing domains, but no system is perfect. Some phishing links may not be detected, and some legitimate links may be flagged incorrectly. You use Sentry at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sentry is provided "as is" without any warranties. We are not responsible for any damages, data loss, or issues that arise from using the bot. This includes false positives, missed detections, or server disruptions.

10. Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of Sentry at any time without notice. This includes adding or removing features, changing the warning system, or shutting down the bot entirely.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Sentry after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Termination

You may remove Sentry from your server at any time by kicking the bot. Upon removal, all server data is automatically deleted from our database. We reserve the right to block any server or user from using Sentry if these terms are violated.
